Michael A. Peters DVM

Growing up on a horse farm helped to shape the course of Dr. Peters educational and professional journey, and after two years as an associate veterinarian in his hometown of Marshfield, he and his wife built Animal Clinic of Ava from the ground up.
In 2016 their satellite practice opened, Animal Clinic of Forsyth, where mixed animal medicine flourished. Invaluable experience and wisdom was gained during many years as a solo practitioner of large and small animals.
Today he sees specialty equine and large animal cases in addition to general practice patients, and travels to different speaking events and conferences throughout the U.S.

Bison specialists from across the U.S. and Canada gathered for this three-day symposium to hear presentations focusing on bison health and research with topics ranging from genomic research, genetic diversity, gut bacteria, micronutrients, using infrared thermal imaging, parasites and traceability to an in-depth focus on diseases such as malignant catarrhal fever and mycoplasma bovis.
